Everton secured a historic win against Liverpool in an entertaining Merseyside Derby on Saturday afternoon and boy, did they celebrate after the full-time whistle.

Before today's clash at Anfield, Carlo Ancelotti's side hadn't won a Premier League match at Anfield in 22 years but after a hard-working performance against their bitter rivals, The Toffees secured a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurðsson.

It was quite the performance from The Blues and, as Liverpool came to terms with their fourth home league defeat in a row, the entire Everton squad celebrated a deserved win alongside a delighted Duncan Ferguson in the away dressing room.

Everton full-back Niels Nkounkou posted footage of the dressing room scenes on Snapchat as the likes of Séamus Coleman, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lucas Digne scream and embrace one another.

You can see how much that win meant. A huge three points for Ancelotti's men.

After the full-time whistle, Everton stalwart Séamus Coleman expressed how much the victory meant to the team in his post-match interview.

The Irish full-back also praised manager Carlo Ancelotti.

"It means a lot to us all, we are starting to get a bunch of players in the dressing room who are not tied down with that baggage." he said. "It's great for us, the fans and the Everton fans within the club.

"And when you have a world-class manager in the dugout, you fully believe in these games, he spoke about how he did for Napoli.

"Once you are part of this club, you know the history about winning here and the last time we won a cup. We need to tidy up a little bit when they come to Goodison Park, we are still working.

He continued, saying: "The mindset has to change and it is, not to just be beating Liverpool but being successful in our own right. I keep saying it, on a day to day basis we have to be professional and believe in the process, We cannot turn it on and off like in the last few weeks."
