Real Madrid decide to wait until PSG put Mbappe up for sale

Leo Messi's future could have a domino effect throughout football, and one of the players who could be affected most is Kylian Mbappe who has been linked with Real Madrid for years.

Mbappe still hasn't renewed his contract at Paris Saint Germain and it's believed that if he doesn't sign a new deal by the summer, Real Madrid could swoop in and try to bring the Frenchman to the Spanish capital.

The hierarchy at Real Madrid have decided to bide their time until Mbappe is available and PSG decide to sell. If Los Blancos were to make a move for the forward, they would have to move one of their own assets on first, as the transfer is expected to cost over 100 million euros - a figure that has been unthinkable since the start of the pandemic.

There is complete respect between the two clubs and Florentino Perez won't make any sort of move until the Parisian club indicate that they have decided to move the player on.

Neymar is very close to signing another contract but if Mbappe, whose contract runs out in the summer of 2022, doesn't pen a new deal then PSG will be forced to cash in on the forward after posting losses of over 150 million euros last season
