Manchester United will sell Paul Pogba in the summer as they are resigned the World Cup winner wants to leave the club and is not interested in signing a new contract. It comes after comments made by Mino Raiola last month saying Pogba's career at Old Trafford was over.

The 27-year-old has impressed in recent games but United know they have no hope of keeping him at the club.

United triggered a one-year contract extension back in October which keeps the former Juventus man at the club until 2022.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is delighted with the attitude Pogba has shown this season despite comments from his agent Raiola.

But there is also an acceptance United must sell in the summer if they want to recoup anywhere near the £89m they paid for him back in 2016, the Mirror say.

Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG are interested in Pogba and Ed Woodward is hoping for a bidding war to drive the price up.

United beat Aston Villa 2-1 on New Year's Day to move level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes scored the winning penalty which was won by Pogba.

The Portuguese praised his team-mate after the match as United look to challenge for the Premier League title.

Fernandes said: "I think Paul was top. But we all know the qualities he has. I think it is not in doubt.

"I hope people are not in doubt on the qualities of Paul because we know he can play, he can help us and he can play really well.

"I think we are building something important.

"The most important for us is building a team, building a group of players who take care of each other.

"As I sit in the stands in the last two or three minutes, everyone is shouting and hoping to don't concede a goal and to take care of the ball.

"Everyone wanted the three points, everyone wanted that win and this is what it is all about.

"Now we have to build on this more and more."

United return to action against Manchester City on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Solskjaer has a good record when he goes head-to-head with Pep Guardiola and will hope that continues next week.
