Mikel Arteta's team went into this evening's clash on the back of five Premier League matches without a win.

And such was famous fan Piers' trepidation going into the match, that he admitted he'd be getting stuck into his gift from Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid just to bear it.

Morgan, 55, took to Instagram to show off his £200 bottle of Chateau Lynch-Bages 2001 red.

He captioned it: "The only way I can get through another Arsenal game tonight given our current disastrous form.. with @susannareid100 ‘s Christmas present."

He may have been hiding behind the sofa after 18 minutes, however, as Theo Walcott returned to haunt his former side, putting the Saints 1-0 up.

And Amazon Prime Video cameras caught technical director Edu looking particularly furious shortly after.

The Brazilian, 42, shifted animatedly in his seat with his side losing at home yet again.

Things did get a bit better for the pair, however, as Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang netted for the first time since the Gunners' victory at Old Trafford on November 1 to equalise.

Things soon took another frustrating turn though, as Gabriel was red carded just ten minutes later.

The Gunners held on for a point, and after the match boss Arteta was eager to try and grasp the positives.

He said: "Considering we played 35 minutes with ten men, we have to take the point because we showed some resilience and character to hang in there for so long against a really dangerous team.

"But at the same time we are disappointed because we came back after conceding a goal.

"When we had our best moment again we shot ourselves in the foot. It’s very difficult to compete in this league when you play for such a long period with ten men and we are struggling for results. It makes it even more complicated.

"They showed again a lot of character and resilience. They never gave up.

"After 1-0 I was worried because you can start to see players hiding, and they did completely the opposite.

"Hopefully this unlocks him [Aubameyang] a little bit and things will change.”
