Aubameyang admits lack of goals is Arsenal's 'biggest problem' right now

Aubameyang bemoans Arsenal's lack of goals

Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw by Leeds over the weekend.

Said draw will have no doubt only further deepened the concern surrounding Arsenal's attacking issues of late.

The Gunners have scored just a solitary goal in their last five Premier League outings, which was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's penalty vs Manchester United.

And to find the last time the north Londoner's scored a goal from open play in the league, you have to go all the way back to October 4th, when Nicolas Pepe netted vs Sheffield United.

Aubameyang, Arsenal's top scorer over the last two campaigns, has also been struggling in front of goal, netting just twice in nine league ties this season.

And the African has now spoken out over his side's diminishing attack threat:

"The biggest problem the club is facing right now is the lack of goals, but the manager and the rest of the players are trying to overcome this problem.

"Even though the results have not been good recently, we still hope that in the near future everything will be fine and we will surprise the world. We have the players that will take us to the level we want to get to."

Molde vs Arsenal
Arsenal's next chance to end their poor goalscoring run comes later this evening when they return to European action.

The Gunners face a trip to Norway for a meeting with Molde, as they look to bounce back following a recent dip in form.

Mikel Arteta's side have won just one of their last five league outings, largely in part due to their lack of goals.

In the Europa League, though, the north Londoners have looked admittedly solid, albeit up against much weaker opposition.

Regardless, Arteta will no doubt be keen to secure a 4th straight European win on Thursday to ensure his side's progression into the Europa League's knockout stages.
