Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has left fans in stitches following his “greatest” Instagram post.

Mourinho’s side host LASK as the Europa League gets underway tonight with the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss having won the competition on two previous occasions.

And the Portuguese manager took to social media in the build-up to the tie with his team having thrown away a three-goal lead against West Ham at the weekend.

Posting a picture of himself holding three Europa League balls, Mourinho wrote: “3 balls... The 3 goals we conceded against West Ham? The 3 amazing goals we scored against them? Or the 2 Europa Leagues I have in the pocket and the 3rd one I am ready to fight for?”

And fans were left in stitches by the former Manchester United manager’s latest social media action.

One commented: “Jose Mourinho's Instagram is the best thing on the internet.”

Another added: “Jose Mourinho casually running the greatest Instagram account known to man.”

In a similar vein, a third put: “Jose Mourinho’s Instagram is absolutely top tier. I cannot recommend you following it enough.”

And another simply told followers: “Mourinho on Instagram is an influencer.”

While one more agreed: “There is nothing better on social media than José Mourinho’s Instagram account. Prove me wrong.”

Mourinho is hoping to continue his strong form in the Europa League, saying: “It's the third time I played the competition and the other two times, one with Porto and one with United, we managed to win it.

“So the record in the Europa League is great, never knocked out. Of course, lost a few matches in the group phase but managed always to win it.

“It is difficult, it is a very long competition, the group phase is tricky then you go to the knockouts and you get teams coming from the Champions League which is very unfair.

“If you play Champions League and you don't qualify you go home. In the Europa League group phase if you finish third you go home, you don't have another competition to play.”
