N’Golo Kante reportedly has no intention of leaving Chelsea anytime soon despite rumoured interest from Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

Kante was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window with former Blues boss Antonio Conte interested at Inter.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard spoke regularly about his desire to keep World Cup winner Kante over the summer with his contract ending in 2023.

And with plenty of time on his current deal, French outlet Le10Sport claim Kante has no intention of leaving Chelsea in the short or medium term.

Kante started as Lampard’s side drew 3-3 with Southampton on Saturday and is likely to be involved as the Champions League gets underway this week.

Though pundit Danny Mills believes Lampard should sell Kante to fund a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Asked by Football Insider whether he can see Kante leaving next summer, Mills said: “I can and I don’t think it would be the world’s worst business.

“If you let N’golo Kante go and bring in Declan Rice who in six months or a year’s time is likely to be even better than he is now.

“Kante has not played in his preferred position due to injuries and formation changes for a couple of years. We haven’t seen the best of N’Golo Kante for 18 months or so.

“If there’s an opportunity to bring in a younger player who is going to have greater longevity and the fees are going to balance each other out then I think it would be a good piece of business.”

Though it seems Lampard won’t be selling, as he said: “I think pretty much every club in the world would want N'Golo Kante.

“I have seen those reports as well. He is an incredible player and person and I certainly don't want to lose him. He's fundamental in terms of what I'm trying to do."
