EDINSON CAVANI was spotted in Manchester United kit for the first time as he worked up a sweat training in lockdown.

The Uruguayan striker, 33, took to Instagram in the United training outfit.

Edinson Cavani shared a video on Instagram working hard in the Manchester United training kit

He posted a video on his page of him running on a treadmill with a backwards cap and wrote: "The clock does not stop."

This is probably one of the reasons Cavani has an 'astonishing' body fat percentage and is like a 'Greek God'.

On his story, the forward shared a video of his adorable young daughter watching the cows in the field outside their new home.

Cavani signed a 12-month contract at Old Trafford on deadline day worth around £200,000 per week with the option of an extra year.

But after arriving from France, he is set to stay in quarantine for 14 days under UK coronavirus rules.

United are hoping to see if they can find a loophole which would allow Cavani to join his new team-mates at Carrington earlier than after two weeks of self-isolation following his touch down on English soil.

As things stand Cavani will not be available to face Newcastle on October 17 and will have one day with the squad before they take on his former club Paris Saint-Germain.

Cavani revealed he and his partner have both had Covid-19 – and the striker revealed he even considered quitting football after his relatives were affected by the virus.

United confirmed on Tuesday Cavani has taken the famous No7 shirt.

Heroes George Best, David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo all shone with the number on their back during their spells at Old Trafford.

But it has not proven a good omen in recent years with the likes of Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay and Alexis Sanchez crumbling under the pressure of its history.

Cavani, though, is confident and cannot wait to get going with his new team-mates.

He told the club website: "Manchester United is one of the greatest clubs in the world, so it is a real honour to be here.

"I have played in front of some of the most passionate supporters in football during my career and I know that it will be the same in Manchester.

"I look forward to continuing to write my little story inside the book of football and I know that’s why my focus has to remain the same as always - work, work, work."

However, Cavani admitted he is already thinking about his next club by revealing he would relish the chance to play for Boca Juniors before hanging up his boots.

He said: "Boca is a giant of the world, any footballer would like to play there. There have been several Uruguayans that have played there. Following the history of our football arouses curiosity a bit.

"We will see what happens in the future. It would be very nice to be able to play at Boca one day."
