In the midst of the coronavirus crisis and for safety reasons, Lionel Messi has made his luxurious private jet available to his Argentina teammates who ply their trade in Europe to be able to travel to their country for the Albiceleste's upcoming games.

The Barcelona captain shared the aircraft with Marcos Acuna, Lucas Ocampos, Paulo Dybala, Nicolas Otamendi and Juan Foyth.

All of them have been called up by Lionel Scaloni for Argentina's 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Bolivia.

Messi bought the Gulfstream V private jet for just over 15 million dollars at the end of 2018.

It is 29m long, 28m wide and eight metres high and it was manufactured in the United States in 2002.

Messi usually uses it for family holidays and his father, Jorge, also makes use of it for business trips.

It has 16 executive seats, that can be transformed into eight beds and also has two bathrooms, one of which has a shower, and two kitchens.

On the plane's tail he has the No.10 written, while on the staircase you can read the names of his wife Antonela and his sons Thiago, Mateo and Ciro.

Messi and his teammates arrive in Buenos Aires on Monday and will go straight to Argentina's training centre.

The Albiceleste will play their first game at La Bombonera on October 8 against Ecuador and five days later they will face Bolivia in La Paz.
