Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has once again brushed away transfer links between Jadon Sancho and Manchester United as the summer transfer window nears a conclusion

Manchester United have been warned off of a late move for Jadon Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has insisted that no late bids will be accepted before the transfer window closes on Monday after an initial offer was rejected.

He said: "Everything that can be said on this subject has already been said. And nothing will change that."

Manager Lucien Favre then added when asked if Sancho will play against Freiburg this weekend as the speculation continues: "Jadon had a slight cold. We'll see today.”

United are believed to have had a bid worth £90m with add-ons rejected by the Bundesliga challengers earlier this week, with Dortmund holding out for £108m.

The German outfit have publicly insisted that he will stay at the club for at least one more season all summer, as mentioned by captain Marco Reus.

He said on Wednesday: "For us players that was great news. We all were happy that he will be with us for the season.

"Also because he delivers scorer points for the team. Goals, assists - in the end that translates to a lot of points.

"He is an essential player for us. If he will be as great of a player as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi time will tell. He needs a little bit of time, many experiences.

"There will surely be phases in his career where things will not go as smoothly as now, and we will see how he is going to deal with something like that.

"But I believe that he has the confidence and of course the quality to do that."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said of his transfer plans in a chat with talkSPORT this week: “You never know in football. You’re never surprised if anything pops up.

"We get speculation about us all the time. The club is working hard do what we want to do.

"I’m focused on the players we’ve got, ready for Sunday [against Tottenham], playing. That’s the sole focus in the coaches office. Let’s see what happens.”
