That followed the 22-year-old convincing the Government into an embarrassing U-turn to provide free school meal vouchers this summer.

Rashford's many acts of charity has seen him earn praise from politicians such as London Mayor Sadiq Khan and ex-England cricketer Kevin Pietersen.

Yet the forward's latest interaction on social media saw him share an adorable letter he received from a young fan.

Jack, aged seven, wrote: “Dear Marcus,

" love all the work you’ve done, some amazing things to help families who need it.

"You have inspired me because you’re so thoughtful and helped children through the hardest times of their life.

"You make me want to help others and be a better person. Because of you, we will donate more food to food banks and our toys and clothes to charity to help other families near us too.

"Your football skills also inspire me to practice my football more to be a better player.”

At the end of the letter, Jack finishes off with a cheeky transfer request as he adds: “Can you please join Spurs?

"Thank you for everything you do.”

Rashford shared the letter on his Twitter and wrote: “Dear Jack, thank you for your lovely letter. Really made me smile tonight.

"Keep being kind. That’s what makes the world go round. MR.”

And fans were touched by the exchange with one tweeting: "Class right there Rash!"

Another said: "When you're much older Marcus, you'll be proud of your career. Trust me though, it'll be letters like this which you'll keep that will make you the most proud."

A third added: "Lovely letter Jack. Carry on being a great kid (sorry, he can't join Spurs though, but don't blame you for asking)."

Rashford will return to his day job when United play Brighton at the Amex on Saturday lunchtime.
