Leeds United want Rangers' Ryan Kent in the summer transfer window and the former Liverpool winger is happy at Ibrox but he is also open to testing himself in the Premier League

Leeds United are keen to sign Rangers ace Ryan Kent.

But the Premier League new boys will have to cough up more than £10m to land the former Liverpool winger.

Kent signed a four-year deal at Ibrox just 12 months ago after completing a £7m move from the Reds following a successful loan spell in Scotland.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is a big admirer of Kent and the Yorkshire club were also keen on him last summer but failed to agree a deal.

Bielsa is eager to bolster his squad ahead of the new campaign and has earmarked Kent as one of his targets.

Kent is understood to be happy at Rangers but may be interested in a chance to make it in the Premier League.

At Anfield, the 23-year-old made just one first-team appearance which came in the FA Cup in the 2015/16 season.

Before joining Rangers, the Reds academy product had loan spells at the likes of Coventry, Barnsley, Freiburg and Bristol City.

He has also represented England at Under-18 and Under-20 levels, with a bright future ahead of him.

Kent has already netted twice in four Scottish Premiership games for title-chasing Rangers in the 2020/21 season.

Steven Gerrard will be desperate not to lose Kent, who is set to play a big role in their quest to beat Celtic to top spot this term.

But Leeds are particularly keen on Kent and have money to spend following their promotion back to the Premier League.

Bielsa scouted him personally last year, and the manager is searching for new blood to add to his squad.

The manager’s future is secure at Elland Road as well as a new one-year deal is expected to be announced soon.
