Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has gone for a short back and sides but left his trademark curls long on top in a new look that has caught the attention of fans

Mohamed Salah has stunned fan by revealing a new haircut after his Premier League winning season with Liverpool.

The Anfield icon has switched it up and gone for a trendy fade on his back and sides, while still keeping his curls flowing on top.

Salah unveiled the new look on his Instagram account with a clip showing him brushing his hair with a comb.

Since his move to Merseyside three summers ago, the Egypt international has scored 94 goals and provided 41 assists in 152 appearances in all competitions.

His new clean cut look shows his beard tidily trimmed an even his eyebrows seem to have had some attention.

Liverpool fans had grown used to his more scruffy look but they seemed to love his more manicured appearance too.

"60 goals next season confirmed," said one Reds supporter.

"Mo looking like he’s about to release an R&B record!" laughed another.

"We should’ve never sold Lovren, he’s going mental without him!" joked a third.

It’s been a pretty tough week for Salah with him losing his best friend at the club in Dejan Lovren.

Lovren left Merseyside for Zenit St Petersburg and even manager Klopp acknowledged Salah had lost his 'bezzie.'

"Yesterday we said, ‘Who is now the best friend of Mo?’ because they were really real, real bezzies. They were really close and that’s the thing, we will miss him.”

Aside from their relationship on the pitch, Salah and Lovren displayed their bromance with cheeky social media trolls and comments on each other’s posts.

In his reaction to Lovren’s exit, the two-African Footballer of the Year said he was speechless and he would miss his "great friend" so much.

"I don't know how to say, my friend. You don't know my feeling right now. We're really going to miss you a lot - especially me,” Salah told the club website.

"You've been an unbelievable player and a great friend for me. We're going to miss you a lot. I miss you a lot, I love you so much. You've been fantastic outside the field and inside the field."
