Manchester United fans are loving the bromance blossoming between Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba following Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final clash with Norwich City.

United booked their place in the semi-finals after a 2-1 victory at Carrow Road which saw Fernandes and Pogba finish the game together.

Pogba made an immediate impact and he busted out a lovely rabona during extra-time.

Following the game, he posted a photo to Instagram with the caption: "Ball is life."

Portuguese international Fernandes then replied to the post with "Five star skills" as well as an emoji.

It was only the third game the duo have played together since Fernandes arrived at Old Trafford in January and fans think he is desperate for Pogba to remain at the club.

Prior to the game, United coach Michael Carrick discussed the partnership between Fernandes and Pogba - highlighting the current balance of their midfield.

"It is understandable why a lot of the questions are 'can they play together' because they are two fantastic talents," the former England international told ESPN per Manchester Evening News.

"We feel we've got a really good balance in midfield between all the lads really.
"It is kind of unfair to single them out asking 'can they play together' because the other boys have done a terrific job and will have plenty to say as well.

"Of course, the talk is about Bruno and Paul and I'm sure they can play together.

"That's why they are both here at the club and I'm sure they are looking forward to it. But as Bruno and Paul would totally understand me saying, it is not just about them."

United made eight changes against Norwich and were forced to work for victory over 120 minutes.

Odion Ighalo opened the scoring in the second half before Todd Cantwell's screamer leveled the scores.

The Canaries were reduced to ten men two minutes from normal time when Timm Klose received a red card for hauling Ighalo down.

United couldn't find a winner in normal time but captain Harry Maguire fired home in the second half of extra-time to send his side to Wembley.
