Leicester are leading the chase for Brentford’s £25million winger Said Benrahma.

Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers is looking for a goalscoring wide man to bolster his attack next season, and Algerian Benrahma is top of his list.

But Rodgers faces fierce competition from Chelsea, who have also asked Brentford about Benrahma’s situation, and Arsenal.

The Championship club want £25m for Benrahma, who they signed for £1.5m from Nice two years ago.

The Algerian international striker has since scored 21 goals in 72 Championship appearances for the Bees.

Behrama has two years left on his Brentford contract, and Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is also keen to tempt the Algerian, who has three caps for his country, away from Griffin Park for the start of next season.

Chelsea have already signed one wide man in Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, and also have striker Timo Werner set to arrive from RB Leipzig imminently - but they are set to lose both Willian and Pedro, who will leave at the end of this season as free agents when their contracts run out.

In a recent interview, Benrahma revealed he was flattered by the speculation linking him with Premier League clubs but insisted his focus is on Brentford.

"I can not complain," he told Algerian outlet Le Buteur.

"I am now focused on my club in Brentford after it makes me happy that upscale Premier League clubs are behind me.

"I have a contract with Brentford and I have to honour them properly.”

Benrahma is signed with Unique Sports Management, an agency whose clientele includes Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Chelsea star Reece James and Tottenham full-back Ryan Sessegnon.
