Jadon Sancho fumes at "absolute joke" German FA for issuing Man Utd target with fine

Jadon Sancho has fumed at the German FA after being issued with fine for breaking coronavirus lockdown protocols.

The Englishman was issued with the punishment after getting a haircut from celebrity barber Winnie Nana Karkari.

And the Borussia Dortmund star took to Twitter to give his take on the German football organisers in brutal style.

“Absolute joke DFL,” Sancho simply wrote on the social media site.

It saw fans of Manchester United, the club that has been hotly linked with the £100m-rated star’s signature, send a message to the 20-year-old.

“This would never happen at Manchester,” one supporter said.

“Get all the trims you want.”

Another commented: “Come back home, bro.”

While a third added: “Get out as soon as you can!”

And a fourth added: “Get yourself to United – we won’t fine you for getting trims.”

A statement from the German league (DFL) reads: “The DFL has fined Manuel Akanji and Jadon Sancho.

“The players from Borussia Dortmund had obviously violated general hygiene and infection protection standards at home hairdressing appointments and in particular the medical-organisational concept of the DFL task force.

“There is no question that professional footballers also have to have their hair cut. However, this currently has to be done in accordance with the medical-organisational concept.”

It comes the same day that Sancho has been stopped by Dortmund after flying back to England “for several days” without permission.

The 20-year-old could not start the Westfalenstadion side’s first match since the Bundesliga returned last month.

And German outlet Bild claimed it was because the forward went into quarantine for two weeks after returning from England.

Sancho has scored 20 goals and made 20 assists this season for Dortmund, putting him on 34 goals since arriving from Manchester City in 2017.

But United are preparing to bring him back to the Premier League – and face a transfer battle with Liverpool for the forward’s signature.
