The summer transfer window is fast approaching with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all looking strengthen. Express Sport brings you updates throughout the day.

Philippe Coutinho future

Philippe Coutinho hasn't ruled out leaving Barcelona for Tottenham when the transfer window reopens, according to reports.

The Brazil international is set to return to the Nou Camp at the end of the campaign after Bayern Munich made it clear they wouldn’t be signing him permanently.

And, as well as Spurs, the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Leicester and Manchester United are also keen on the 27-year-old.

Coutinho’s stock has fallen drastically since leaving Liverpool for Barcelona back in the January transfer window of 2018.

The La Liga giants thought they were onto a winner when they paid £142million to sign him, believing the 27-year-old would be the ticket to Champions League glory.

But Coutinho spent 18 nightmare months at Barcelona before being loaned out to Bayern Munich last summer.

And Mundo Deportivo say Tottenham, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Leicester are all interested in the Brazilian.

Jadon Sancho to Man Utd exclusive

Manchester United want to strengthen their side this summer with the signing of Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho.

The 20-year-old underlined his talents by scoring his first ever hat-trick at the weekend for the Bundesliga giants.

Last week reports emerged that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had offered Alexis Sanchez as part of a swap deal to bring Sancho to Old Trafford.

But Express Sport understands no such bid was made and United have not included the former Arsenal man in any plans to sign their top target.

Sancho has been in sensational form this season, netting 20 goals and providing 20 assists in all competitions.

That has alerted the likes of United, Chelsea and Liverpool to his talents but Express Sport understand the Red Devils are the frontrunners.

Chelsea confident on Timo Werner transfer

Chelsea have made signing a striker one of their top priorities in the summer transfer window with Frank Lampard keen to bolster his ranks. The Blues are monitoring the situation with Timo Werner as a possible alternative to Moussa Dembele, according to reports.

Tammy Abraham has led the line for Chelsea this season with Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi as the backup options.

But Lampard wants to add star power and quality to his frontline with Lyon forward Dembele thought to be the top target.

But ESPN claim Chelsea are also interested in RVB Leipzig forward Werner who is known to be looking for a move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has been in superb form this season, netting 31 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.

Arsenal to offer David Luiz new contract

Arsenal centre-back David Luiz is "preparing to renew" his contract at the Emirates according to Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira, who insists he shares a "father-to-son" relationship with the Brazilian.

Luiz's future at the Emirates has been clouded in uncertainty in recent weeks with his contract running out at the end of June and no extension on the horizon.

The 33-year-old signed a one-year deal with the option of an extra year when he joined from Chelsea last summer for a fee in the region of £8million.

Luiz has appeared in 25 of Arsenal's 28 Premier League games, playing in every top-flight match since Mikel Arteta was appointed as manager in December.

Speaking publicly the experienced defender has declared a desire to remain in north London, having enjoyed working under Arteta.

And with the Gunners needing Luiz to take a wage cut from his £120,000-a-week salary for more incentive-based terms, Vieira says a deal is close and a two-year deal could be agreed.
