Premier League clubs are set to vote on whether crowd noises from FIFA 20 will be aired in the stadiums during their televised games.

The top 20 teams in England are preparing for the end of the 2019/20 season, with games set to resume on June 17 after the coronavirus suspension.

But they are going to be playing behind closed doors, with fans watching the games from home amid social distancing measures.

Some clubs have been coming up with creative ways to create an atmosphere at the games, such as putting cutouts of fans in the seats.

And the Mail has reported that clubs will be asked to vote on having crowd noises broadcast over the speakers from computer games FIFA 20.

It is the preferred option for organisers as they look to create atmosphere in the empty stadiums while games are aired on TV.

All 92 remaining games will be shown on Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon, with Manchester City vs Arsenal and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United kicking it off on June 17.

A statement on their website read: “Premier League Shareholders today agreed to a new provisional restart date for the 2019/20 season of Wednesday 17 June, provided that all safety requirements are in place.

“Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal, postponed due to the EFL Cup final, will now take place on 17 June, followed by a full match round beginning on Friday 19 June.

“Due to COVID-19, matches will take place behind closed doors.

“Shareholders also approved a proposal that would see all 92 remaining matches broadcast live in the UK by the League’s existing broadcast partners: Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC Sport and Amazon Prime.”

The hectic schedule will see Premier League games aired seven days a week.
