Vinicius follows the Cristiano method

Achef and a personal trainer have accompanied Vinicius Junior at his home in Madrid in recent months,

The chef monitors his diet closely and has worked on a new nutrition plan to ensure that he is eating well.

The second, Thiago Lobo, is working on making Vinicius a stronger and quicker player.

The so-called Cristiano method has arrived to help him to become a world class player, working on his fitness, as well as his physical and mental attributes.

Lobo is among Brazil's most respected fitness coaches and has previously worked with Santos, and Gabigol at Inter.

Vinicius persuaded him to come to Madrid to work with him after his knee injury against Ajax with the aim of returning in time for the Copa America.

Lobo worked closely with Antonio Pintus, the fitness coach at Real Madrid at the time, and while he did bring Vinicius back into action, he did not get enough minutes under his belt to make the Copa America squad for Brazil.

This season, they have worked closely together to complement the work done by Gregory Dupont, who replaced Pintus in Zidane's set-up.

Since then, Vinicius has become stronger, with less unnecessary weight and more muscle, also reducing his body fat percentage, making him quicker without losing any of his agility.

He has installed a gym in his new home in Madrid and is constantly expanding it to work effectively away from Valdebebas.

Alongside a closely controlled diet, the two make the perfect combination.

Neymar, following the same path

Neymar has also mixed up his routine during lockdown to become stronger and leaner after several years hit by injuries.

His personal trainer for the past 10 years, Ricardo Rosa, has been working closely with him to lose weight during the break.

Curiously, Rosa and Lobo worked together at Santos alongside players like Neymar and Danilo as they won the Copa Libertadores in 2011.
