The Man Utd legend has decided to go through lockdown alongside wife Victoria and children Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, and Harper, eight, in the Cotswolds - while Brooklyn is in the United States

David Beckham has allegedly angered his neighbours in the Cotswolds after isolating there in the coronavirus pandemic.

Manchester United legend Beckham and wife Victoria have reportedly moved to their £6million second home for the isolation period.

They are said to be joined by Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, and Harper, eight, while their eldest son Brooklyn, 21, is in the United States with his girlfriend Nicola Peltz.

However, their arrival in the Cotswolds is not said to have gone down well with their neighbours.

A local butcher's shop worker in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, claims that the family a "selfish" by heading to the countryside.

She told  MailOnline  : "The Beckhams and these other fancy folks who think it's a good idea to self-isolate in the country are just being selfish."

A local councillor added similar sentiments, saying: "Showing off your beautiful country mansion on social media and telling us all what a wonderful time you're having is just rubbing our noses in it.

"The Beckhams and other celebrities are just being stupid, irresponsible and insensitive."

It is claimed that others have said that the family will not be getting any special treatment at local shops and supermarkets during their stay at their Cotswolds property.

The Beckhams travelled to the Cotswolds before the UK was put under lockdown on March 23.

Both David and Victoria stay regularly at the house, but this time they are said to be angering locals by flaunting their wealth on their social media accounts more regularly than normal.

The family have been completely obedient to the social distancing guidelines.

During the lockdown, they have taken part in the Clap For Carers on Thursdays, as well as sharing videos thanking the NHS for their work during the period.

Victoria wrote in an Instagram post: "Yesterday I had the humbling opportunity to speak to an NHS team in Scotland.

"Please have a look and listen to what they are saying.

"They are so inspiring and we all need to do our part in staying home and helping these incredible workers and their colleagues on the frontline x VB"
