Neymar has been told to snub Barcelona for Real Madrid.

Neymar is expected to attempt to force a move back to La Liga this summer but will Real Madrid or Barcelona be able to strike a deal with Paris Saint-Germain?

Last summer representatives from both clubs flew to Spain to try and sign the PSG winger.

However, the French side refused to budge on their valuation of the attacker and he remained at the Parc de Princes for this campaign.

PSG fans booed the Brazilian at the start of the season for causing so much unrest in the squad but he has since won them over with some dazzling performances.

However, Barcelona and Real are desperate to improve their squads and will no doubt return to tempt the 28-year-old back to La Liga when the transfer window reopens.

And former Los Blancos star Roberto Carlos thinks Neymar should move to the Bernabeu if he wants to improve his chances of winning the Champions League.

"If it were up to me, (Neymar) would already be here a long time ago, but life is not how one would like it," Carlos told Fox Sport Radio.

"These great players always have to play in the best clubs in the world.

"Real Madrid today is a reference for any player. Do you want to win the Champions League? Come for Real Madrid."

Carlos won three Champions League trophies during his 11 years with Real.

But he understands if Neymar makes a surprise decision to stay with PSG for the foreseeable future.

"[Neymar] is happy at Paris Saint-Germain," Carlos revealed.

"He is playing with joy lately done. That is the Neymar that everyone likes to see."

Meanwhile, there is a hot debate in the football world regarding who is the best left-back currently plying his trade.

And Ramos thinks you cannot look beyond Real's Brazilian ace Marcelo.

He explained: "Everyone deserves a new opportunity and I think Marcelo is growing again to be the Marcelo I saw play, with joy, who does things that only he can do on the field..

"I hope he returns to the national team and disputes the position  with Filipe (Luis), Alex Sandro and Renan Lodi."
