Ramos: My teammates and I have collaborated with UNICEF to provide medical supplies

Sergio Ramos has publicly announced his collaboration with UNICEF in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Real Madrid captain has revealed that he, along with his teammates and the club, financially supported an initiative to bolster hospitals with medical supplies.

"I am a UNICEF ambassador and through them we have done something to help," he told El Hormiguero.

"UNICEF is committed to bringing medical supplies to hospitals which will arrive on Friday.

"We have made an important contribution and all my colleagues and the club have participated with UNICEF.

"We all have to help."

Ramos went on to make clear that Real Madrid have done what it takes to help their players in the ongoing health crisis.

"The club took this very seriously from the first day and sent us home in quarantine," he continued.

"Then, they sent us some exercises, a nutrition program and a rest routine.

"Football is secondary and when we return is the least [important] at the moment."

The Spain captain also discussed about his daily routine with his wife and kids at home.

"The little one and the older one sometimes get us a little crazy [when we try] to put them in bed," he joked.

"We are preparing and telling Sergio, the eldest, about the seriousness of the situation.

"At first it seemed a bit like holidays, their usual routine was altered a bit and they fell asleep in bed with us.

"But now, as the days are passing, we are teaching them a bit what is happening."
