Walsall face Exeter without Rory Gaffney following striker’s departure

Walsall host Exeter in Sky Bet League Two with striker Rory Gaffney no longer on their books.
The Irishman, who had been out injured since January anyway, had his loan from Salford cut short last week to facilitate a permanent move to Shamrock Rovers.
This occurred during a break from action with the Saddlers having not played for a fortnight due to the postponement of last week’s clash with Stevenage.
Midfielder Stuart Sinclair will hope to regain a starting spot after coming off the bench against Port Vale last time out.
Exeter have no new fitness concerns ahead of the trip to the Bescot Stadium and are hopeful that a couple of their injured players will be back in the coming weeks.
Goalkeeper Jonny Maxted is back in light training after straining an intercostal muscle against Swindon last month.
Veteran defender Craig Woodman, who has been out since December with a knee injury, is set to step up his comeback with a run-out for the under-23s.
Midfielder Jack Sparkes, who is not expected to play again this season due to a knee injury, is also back running.
