Newport will be without suspended midfielder Joss Labadie against Morecambe

Newport will again be without midfielder Joss Labadie as they prepare to host Morecambe in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday.

The 29-year-old club captain serves the last game of a two-match suspension and is therefore unavailable.

Exiles boss Michael Flynn is also missing a handful of players due to injury, including long-term absentee Mark O’Brien.

Nick Townsend, Ash Baker and Daniel Leadbitter are all absent.

Morecambe boss Derek Adams is also missing a player through suspension as midfielder Adam Phillips in unavailable.

The Burnley loanee was shown a straight red card during the Shrimps’ 1-1 draw with Crewe at the weekend and must now sit out three fixtures.

Cole Stockton is also out of contention as he begins a spell on sidelines caused by a shoulder injury sustained against Carlisle.

The forward is not expected to return to action for up to six weeks.
