Leyton Orient forward Louis Dennis could make a first league appearance since New Year’s Day in their Sky Bet League Two clash with Cambridge.
Dennis scored on his return from knee and hip injuries for the reserves side ahead of last week’s trip to Forest Green, but that match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Defender Sam Ling is another player in contention to return for Ross Embleton’s side, having been out of action since early December.
Captain Jobi McAnuff returned to training last month, but is still working his way back to full fitness after a long-term groin injury.
Cambridge have been dealt a blow with on-loan midfielder Idris El Mizouni returning to parent club Ipswich having been ruled out for the remainder of the season with medial ligament damage suffered in last weekend’s loss to Carlisle.
U’s boss Colin Calderwood has hinted that the Tunisian’s departure may give an opportunity to 21-year-old midfielder Tom Knowles, who is yet to feature in the league this season.
Paul Lewis and Liam O’Neil have both returned to training and Calderwood hopes the pair will be available to face Orient.
Sam Smith and Ben Coker remain sidelined but are nearing a return to action.
