Blackpool got their first win since Simon Grayson’s sacking with a dramatic late 2-1 victory over Bolton.
Connor Ronan’s missile handed the lead to the managerless Seasiders, who have reportedly had an approach for Oxford boss Karl Robinson rejected.
Kean Bryan looked to have given the Trotters a point late on, but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall fired home at the death for the hosts.
Blackpool took the lead when Ronan’s thunderbolt inside 13 minutes from outside the box flew past Wanderers stopper Remi Matthews.
Matty Virtue was inches away from adding Blackpool’s second after the break when his rocket was deflected over.
Blackpool were indebted to goalkeeper Chris Maxwell as he clawed away substitute Daryl Murphy’s effort before stopping Dennis Politic’s shot on the hour.
Bryan snuck in at the far post from Joe Dodoo’s cross to level two minutes from full-time as it appeared the spoils would be shared.
But Dewsbury-Hall fired into the roof of the net from a corner to ensure Blackpool emerged victorious at Bloomfield Road.
