BRUNO FERNANDES and Co had the sun on their back and Premier League pressure off their minds as they posed for selfies with fans during Manchester United's warm-weather training in Marbella.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men lapped it up as they swapped their maladies for Malaga - hoping the winter break provides a breath of fresh flair for their mediocre season so far.

Under-achieving in the Prem but relaxed in Marbella - Man Utd's players relax

New £51million midfielder Fernandes and Harry Maguire, the world's costliest defender at £85m, stopped for photos with supporters in relaxing temperatures of around 20 degrees.

But on the day United were linked with PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe, their current under-achievers knuckled down in practice as they tried to impress Solskjaer ahead of Monday's trip to Chelsea.

Portugal star Fernandes was the man in demand off the field and he was the centre of attention on it as Solskjaer prepares to build his side around the 25-year-old, at least before Paul Pogba is fully fit again.

The club were forced to change their hotel amid fears of the coronavirus.

The decision was made this week after they found out Rafa Benitez's Chinese team, Dalian Yifang, had stayed at the Westin La Quinta Golf Resort and Spa, Benahavis - their original choice.
United moved down the road to the five-star Kempinski in nearby Estepona.
One player battling to start alongside ex-Sporting Lisbon hero Fernandes is Spaniard Juan Mata, who was of course training in his home country.

The 31-year-old will surely have clocked reports linking English playmakers James Maddison and Jack Grealish with a £160m combined switch to Old Trafford over the summer.

Meanwhile, frontman Anthony Martial made what looked an odd but positive gesture - two fingers in a sideways "V" sign - as he spotted the camera on him when he walked by the pitch, rugged mountains in the background.

Having not played since their 0-0 home draw with Wolves on February 1, eighth-placed United will return to England this week knowing defeat at Stamford Bridge would leave them NINE POINTS adrift of the Champions League spots.

So they, more than most, must hope the fortnight off rejuvenates their form and fortunes.
