Oxford’s leading goalscorer James Henry is expected to return for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One home match with Blackpool.
The forward pulled his thigh muscle earlier in the month, but has returned to full training and should be available for selection.
It will be a major boost for manager Karl Robinson, who remains without Liverpool loanee Ben Woodburn due to a foot injury.
Cameron Brannagan and Matty Taylor (both knee) are doubtful for the weekend encounter, but Anthony Forde has recovered from fracturing four ribs last month.
New Blackpool loan signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will hope to start at Oxford after scoring on his debut at Wycombe on Tuesday.
The Leicester midfielder, who came off the bench for the Foxes at Brentford last weekend, joined the Seasiders on Monday and impressed in midweek.
Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick (hand) remains a long-term absentee while winger Ben Tollitt was released by mutual consent on Thursday.
He spent the first half of the season on loan with Wrexham in the National League, after signing for Blackpool in the summer, and failed to make a competitive appearance for Simon Grayson’s team.
