Manchester United had an offer to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-German rejected by the Uruguayan striker, who would rather join Atletico Madrid, despite interest from Chelsea as well. Cavani is out of contact in the summer.
Cavani has had to play second fiddle to Mauro Icardi this season in Paris, following his loan move from Inter Milan.
And although Cavani is PSG’s top goalscorer, he now feels that his time with the club has come to an end.
United, Chelsea and Atletico have all been linked with a move for Cavani.

But his father has already expressed his desire for Cavani to move to Atletico.
According to Soccer Link, however, United have made an offer to Cavani which would see him be paid £10million-a-year at Old Trafford.
They’ve also added a £2.5m signing bonus onto a potential deal, but Cavani isn’t interested.
The report states that Cavani still wants to move to Atletico, who have an agreement in place with the striker.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be frustrated with the situation, as he looks to get around Marcus Rashford’s back injury.
"Yeah, we are looking at different scenarios.” Solskjaer said.
"If there are deals to be done we will update you on that.

"We know that Marcus is out for a few months. That will take its toll on the team because we are stretched.
"They know that, but it’s also giving them a chance to take some chances now.
"[It's] the million dollar question for us because Marcus has been fantastic. Step up. Someone's got to step up.”
Meanwhile, Paul Merson believes that Chelsea need to go all out in their efforts to sign Cavani.
"Edinson Cavani is a no-brainer for Chelsea and they should be gutted if they miss out on him,” Merson told the Daily Star.
"I know his wages are big and he’s not getting any younger but this lad is a proper, proper player and he would be electric at Chelsea.”
