Arsenal haven't seen the best of Dani Ceballos since his loan arrival from Real Madrid.

Dani Ceballos will have to push to break the Arsenal loan deal he wants to end this month. The Spain midfielder has asked Arsenal to cut short his season-long loan deal at the Emirates because he is not getting enough football, and he is anxious to play at Euro 2020.

But Arsenal are not ready to let the 23-year-old midfielder go, because his departure would leave Mikel Arteta's team short.

Valencia want to take Ceballos on loan for the second half of the season- but Arsenal will not sanction a deal unless they can find a replacement.

Ceballos injured a hamstring in the Europa League clash at Vitoria Guimaraes in November and was ruled out for nearly two months.

But since the Spaniard regained fitness he has not played a single minute of football under Arteta, who took over at the Emirates a month ago.

Ceballos has played 17 games for the Gunners, but made only nine starts, scoring once.

Arteta recently opened up on the midfielder, saying: “Dani had an injury where he was out for almost two months and had to go to Madrid for his rehab,.

“He came back and in the first few weeks, I didn’t think that he was physically at the level to compete for starting games.

“It’s true that I have players in that position who have been performing really well, and last week when I believed that he was ready to step in, I decided to pick another player.

“But he’s been training good. I’m happy with him and I know him really well, so there’s no issues there.”

Ceballos featured in all of Arsenal’s first 11 fixtures of the season, providing two assists.

But, after a hamstring injury ruled him out of action, he’s struggled to get back into the Premier League squad.

Ceballos has been named on the bench in three of the last four Arsenal league fixtures.

He didn’t even make the matchday squad for the short trip to Crystal Palace earlier this month.
