NEWCASTLE UNITED'S last-gasp winner was wildly celebrated by the majority of the 52,217 supporters crammed into St James' Park.

But the raucous celebrations were somewhat spoiled for one unlucky Magpies fan.

After Isaac Hayden headed the crucial goal past chocolate-wrists Kepa Arrizabalaga, the former Arsenal midfielder raced towards the corner to celebrate.

And with Hayden, 24, having done a knee-slide towards the fans, Matt Ritchie came steaming in behind him.

The Scot is known as a passionate player who wears his heart on his sleeve every time he crosses that white line.

As has been known to happen before, the 30-year-old booted the corner flag into the crowd as he lost his mind in sheer jubilation.

Unfortunately though, the flag flew right into the testicles of an unsuspecting Newcastle supporter amid the celebrations.

The fan can then be seen slumped on the steps by the corner with a pained expression on his face.

He subsequently slowly gets up, clutching his private parts.

Ritchie has missed much of this season with an ankle injury picked up in August.

And having featured in both FA Cup games against Rochdale this month, he was making his long-awaited Premier League return against the Blues.

And his passion had an unfortunate consequence for the stricken fan.

The win takes Newcastle up to 12th in the league table - with a seven point cushion on the dreaded bottom three.

Their next home game is against League One Oxford United next weekend, and the supporter will be hoping to see his team win - preferably without being hit in the nackers this time.
