Boreham Wood won 2-0 at promotion rivals Solihull Moors, who finished the game with 10 men, to climb up to fifth in the Vanarama National League table.
Solihull went close early on when Gavin Gunning’s corner was met by Paul McCallum’s header which was kept out by goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore.
But the visitors deservedly took the lead after 32 minutes when Sorba Thomas tapped in at the far post after Keiran Murtagh had set him up.
Solihull’s Jake Beesley had an effort cleared off the line early in the second half but Kane Smith put the visitors further ahead when he fired into the top corner from long range with 67 minutes on the clock.
Things got worse for the home side when Alex Gudger was sent off with 20 minutes left after a foul on scorer Smith.
