TENSIONS boiled over after the South Wales derby as Cardiff fans were pictured clashing with stewards and security guards.

The Bluebirds were held to a 0-0 draw at home against Swansea, and supporters were spotted venting their frustration towards those in hi-vis jackets.

The result leaves Neil Harris' side 12th in the table - four points behind rivals Swansea who sit in seventh spot in the Championship.

Following the full-time whistle, a number of Cardiff fans could be seen being involved in angry altercations with security staff, though it is unclear what sparked their fury.

One image even shows a member of security grasping their hand on a fans throat.

There are no pictures of the supporters being confronted by police indicating no arrests were made at the stadium.

The Cardiff fans were also the target of former Swans star Oli McBurnie during the game, with the forward part of the travelling faithful cheering on Steve Cooper's men.

And the Sheffield United striker could find himself in hot water after cameras picked him up making obscene gestures towards the home end.

Commenting on his antics, one person tweeted: "Cringey as f*** and I'm a Swansea fan. Oli McBurnie fan brigade can f*** right off."

Another said: "He looks like he's at a f****** silent disco."

McBurnie, 23, signed for Swansea in 2015, before he sealed a switch to join the Blades last summer in a deal rising to potentially £20million.

During his stay at the Liberty Stadium, he netted 26 goals in 62 games - with 24 of those strikes coming in his final campaign for the club.

It's been an eventful weekend for the Scottish international who scored the winner against West Ham on Friday, before exchanging with porn star Elle Brook on Twitter.
