JOSE MOURINHO hit out at Spurs’ striker crisis after ‘irreplaceable’ Harry Kane was ruled out until April.

Tottenham’s talisman needs surgery on his ruptured hamstring — leaving Mourinho with NO fit centre-forward.

Ahead of facing Liverpool, Mourinho moaned: “Some clubs have four and five strikers. If Inter Milan is buying Olivier Giroud, then they have him, Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez.

“Some teams have four and Inter is one example. I can find more.”

Mourinho, whose side host Jurgen Klopp’s runaway leaders today, warns Spurs must change their game-plan without Kane.

Tottenham are hoping to sign AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek, 24, this month. But Mourinho insisted: “Harry’s important and irreplaceable. No player can replace him.

“We cannot play like we normally play when Harry Kane is in the team.”

When asked why Son Heung-min cannot play up front — as he did so effectively under ex-boss Mauricio Pochettino — Mourinho said: “Because he isn’t a striker!

“Danny Rose can play right-wing but he’s a left-back. It’s as simple as that.

“Davinson Sanchez can play striker tomorrow but he’s a central defender.

“A striker, what I call a No 9, a target man, Son is not.”

On the potential signing of Polish hitman Piatek, Mourinho said: “I don’t speak about rumours. I don’t speak about players from other clubs.

“Imagine if I speak about Piatek, is he happy that I speak about him? Is AC Milan happy?”
