Tom Pope Posts Hilarious Tweet After Scoring Against Manchester City And John Stones

Tom Pope has cheekily tweeted he'd score 50 goals against John Stones after managing to net against Manchester City this evening.

The 34-year-old scored Vale's equaliser against the Premier League champions in their FA Cup Third Round clash.

It comes after he described Stones as "weak as p**s" following his display for England in a tweet last summer.

Despite inevitably losing the game 4-1, the forward took to social media following the game.

The response has gone down a storm among fans on Twitter.

He talked the talk, now he's walking the walk.

Back in June, he slated the England international and said he would "love to play against him every week" and that he would score "40 a season".

The former Bury striker also stated that the ex Everton man had "zero aggression" and that target men could "wear him like a Johnny" when they play against.

The comments came after Stones made a costly mistake in England's 3-1 defeat to Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.

Many had hoped that another chapter had been written in the rivalry as it looked like Stones scored City's third of the game.

However, his shot was turned in by 17-year-old Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

These are the kind of tales that make you love the magic of the FA Cup.
