Northampton boss Keith Curle facing injury problems ahead of Stevenage clash

Northampton will be without a trio of players for Wednesday’s Sky Bet League Two match against Stevenage as they await the results of weekend scans.
The Cobblers were without Harry Smith, Alan McCormack and Shaun McWilliams for Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Cheltenham after they were injured during the 4-0 Boxing Day defeat at Crawley.
Smith (ankle) went straight to hospital and the Cobblers also fear that McWilliams (knee) could be out for some time, while McCormack left the pitch seven minutes into the second half with an unconfirmed injury.
Boss Keith Curle has rotated goalkeepers David Cornell and Steve Arnold recently, with Cornell handed the gloves last time out, while Michael Harriman and Vadaine Oliver could hold on to their starting spots after being recalled.
The ninth-placed hosts are winless in their last three fixtures, while struggling Stevenage have not won in their last seven league games and sit bottom of the table, a point from safety.
The visitors marked the first game of Graham Westley’s fourth spell as manager with a Boxing Day home draw against Forest Green and followed it up with a 2-1 defeat at Plymouth last time out so will be eager to get his first win over the line.
Emmanuel Sonupe missed the goalless Boxing Day clash through injury but returned off the bench for the last 18 minutes on Sunday so could feature as he builds up his fitness.
Defender Chris Stokes hopes to rejoin the squad after missing a number of matches through illness, while Boro have no suspensions to worry about.
