Cove Rangers maintain lead at the top with win over Elgin

Scottish League Two leaders Cove Rangers claimed a third-straight win to remain two points ahead of the chasing pack after a 2-0 victory at home to Elgin.
Declan Glass broke the deadlock with a long-range effort just after the half-hour mark.
Captain and top scorer Mitch Megginson made the points safe three minutes from time with his 13th league goal this season as Cove maintained their 100 per cent home winning record.
Edinburgh City remained second after a 2-0 victory at home to third-placed Cowdenbeath, who slipped to 12 points behind the top two.
Liam Henderson headed Edinburgh in front just after the hour mark against his former club and Jonathan Court found the bottom corner late on.
Tommy Muir scored a doubled as fourth-placed Annan held on for a narrow 3-2 victory over Queen’s Park at Galabank.
Muir handed Annan an early lead as he tapped home from Scott McLean’s pass after nine minutes.
Kieran Moore slotted the ball into the bottom corner to level after 35 minutes, but four minutes later Muir’s close-range header put the hosts back in front.
McLean provided a second assist as he set up Nathan Flanagan eight minutes after the break as Annan extended their lead.
Salim Kouider-Aissa pulled one back 12 minutes from time but the home side held on.
Stirling moved up to sixth with a 2-0 victory at relegation-rivals Stenhousemuir.
Dylan Mackin fired Stirling in front in the fourth minute with his third goal in four games and David Wilson netted in stoppage time as Stirling moved four points clear of Stenhousemuir, who are just two points off the bottom.
Basement boys Brechin were reduced to 10 men late on as Luke Watt received a second booking but they held eighth-placed Albion to a goalless draw.
