But the winger, 29, had climbed unhurt from the wreckage — wearing a snowman costume.

And he hid nearby to stop people taking pictures after he wrote off his £210,000 Huracan.

Witnesses say he “swerved” through a light in Balham, South London, before crashing into a front garden at 6.30pm.

They also claim Antonio had told them that he could not see the road because of his costume.

Mum-of-three Nosheen Saher, 36, had returned home with her family just half-an-hour before the crash that she described as “like an earthquake”.

She said “It happened right outside my home. We ran outside and he got out of the car in shock, he said ‘I couldn’t see with the mask on’.

"A car with four or five relatives pulled up, one of them, a big woman in her thirties, was crying - she thought he had been seriously hurt.

"But he was hiding down the road near the bush and they were wailing.”

Another family, who also live at the front of the flats, had their Christmas dinner cut short when they heard the “massive crash” at around 6.30pm.

Scotland Yard said in a statement: “Police were called to reports of a car crashed into a garden. Officers attended and a Lamborghini car was found at the scene.

"It was reported that it had left the road and crashed into a road sign and a garden wall. The driver did not require hospital treatment.

"There were no other reported injuries. There is no police investigation.”
