Injury worries for Huddersfield ahead of Blackburn clash

Huddersfield are likely to still be missing a number of first-team regulars as they prepare to host Sky Bet Championship rivals Blackburn.

Tommy Elphick (knee) has already been ruled out for the season while Alex Pritchard (knee) and Fraizer Campbell (hip) both missed the Boxing Day defeat at Middlesbrough.

Colin Quaner (hip) was another Town man forced to sit out the 1-0 loss at the Riverside Stadium, with Danny Cowley’s Terriers looking to move further clear of the relegation zone with a positive result.

Jonathan Hogg came off with a slight knock at Boro and will be assessed ahead of Sunday’s clash.

Rovers travel across the Pennines knowing they are without midfielder Bradley Dack for a prolonged period after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament last weekend.

Manager Tony Mowbray believes Dack could be missing for up to a year as he looks to battle back.

Lewis Holtby and Bradley Johnson were expected to be competing to take Dack’s place in the side but both came in for the Boxing Day draw at home to Birmingham and will be pushing to keep their spot.

Tosin Adarabioyo and Corry Evans both sat out that match, with Mowbray’s side still in and around the play-off places as they head to the John Smith’s Stadium.
