Keshi Anderson’s hat-trick added to Eoin Doyle’s 15th goal in 11 games as Swindon marched to a resounding 4-0 win over Cambridge.
Doyle slotted his 21st of the season, a fifth-minute penalty, low into the right corner to give the league leaders the early advantage.
Anderson got his first of the afternoon in the 40th minute after an exquisite move by the hosts.
Paul Caddis lofted the ball to Kaiyne Woolery and he nodded it into the path of Anderson, who dinked the ball past Dimitar Mitov to make it 2-0.
In first-half stoppage time Anderson made it 3-0 with a more individual effort, but no less impressive, as he pulled the trigger from range and his strike flew into the back of the net from a long way out, leaving Mitov motionless.
Anderson completed his hat-trick on 66 minutes by tucking into an open goal after Cambridge could only block a low Doyle cross into the path of Swindon’s three-goal hero.
