Zidane is a coaching giant

There's no doubt that Zinedine Zidane's priority since returning to the Real Madrid bench has been to win LaLiga Santander.

With two matchdays left in the first round of fixtures, Los Blancos sit top of the table alongside Barcelona and they do so after having already visited the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, the Camp Nou, the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan and Mestalla.

If there's something they can boast more than anything else it's that they haven't lost on any of those trips.

First, they won at Sevilla for the first time since 2015, then drew at Atletico Madrid before also drawing with Valencia and Barcelona in consecutive games over the past few days.

Real Madrid's game at Mestalla was without Eden Hazard and Casemiro and, despite falling behind, they kept going and eventually bagged an incredibly late leveller through Karim Benzema.

The script was the same at the Camp Nou.

There were no goals, but only Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Gerard Pique stopped Real Madrid.

Impressively, Zidane doesn't know how it feels to lose at the Camp Nou as a coach, now going there five times and having never lost.

Zidane's record is two wins and three draws with eight goals scored and just five conceded.

Real Madrid have changed radically lately, and Zidane has them in a position to push for the much-coveted LaLiga Santander title.

He has already won three Champions Leagues in a row, and now he's continuing to prove that he is a giant of the coaching world.
