Leyton Orient and Bradford play out goalless stalemate

Leyton Orient were unable to break down a resilient Bradford defence as the teams played out a goalless Sky Bet League Two draw at Brisbane Road.
Chances were at a premium in the first half but after the break, Orient staged a fierce rally as they attempted unsuccessfully to unhinge a resolute opposition defence.
Strikers Lee Angol and Connor Wilkinson came closest to breaking the deadlock, whilst Jordan Maguire-Drew also went close in a spirited second-half performance.
Wilkinson had been denied by the crossbar in the 11th minute when his powerful header from a quality cross by Maguire-Drew rattled the woodwork.
Then after 29 minutes, Maguire-Drew’s free-kick presented a chance for defender Marvin Ekpiteta but his close-range shot was blocked before being scrambled to safety.
However, in the last minute of the first period, City striker Aramide Oteh exposed Orient’s defence with pace as he shrugged off a challenge from Jamie Turley but saw his goalbound shot denied by the outstretched legs of goalkeeper Sam Sargeant.
Despite sustained second-half pressure from the home side, both sides clinched a point from the stalemate.
