Shaun Whalley scored a stoppage-time winner as Shrewsbury Town overturned a half-time deficit to beat Coventry 2-1.
Jordan Shipley headed Coventry into a first-half lead, but Scott Golbourne equalised midway through the second half before substitute Whalley had the final word.
Coventry moved in front in the 26th minute when Jamie Allen’s inviting cross from the right was headed home by Shipley.
Fejiri Okenabirhie headed Golbourne’s cross over and then had a shot saved by Marko Marosi as Shrewsbury chased an equaliser. Defender Aaron Pierre also saw a shot deflected just wide for the hosts.
Shrewsbury pulled level in the 68th minute as Golbourne turned the ball home from close range after Coventry were unable to clear a corner.
Shipley fired narrowly wide for Coventry before Shrewsbury grabbed the winning goal just as the match moved into stoppage time as all three subs combined.
Jason Cummings found Ryan Giles and the Wolves loanee delivered a fine cross from the left which Whalley drilled to the top corner of the net on the volley at the far post.
