CRYSTAL PALACE forward Wilfried Zaha is on Chelsea's radar for a January singing should they have their current transfer ban overturned.

The Blues also have their eyes on Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho who could leave the German giants next summer.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea are keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old.

He has been of interest at Stamford Bridge since last summer, but the club had been unable to sign him.

Chelsea have served one window ban after football's world governing body FIFA found they had broken transfer rules by signing underage foreign players.

The Blues denied any wrongdoing at the time and appealed the decision.

But FIFA charged the club after it found 29 cases out of 92 that it investigated, including the signing of Burkina Faso striker Bertrand Traore before his 18th birthday.

During the turbulence of the transfer ban, Chelsea's interest in Zaha does not seem to have gone away.

Given the question marks surrounding the futures of both Willian and Pedro at the club, they could really do with a strong winger in the near future.

Pedro's contract comes to an end at the end of the season and there has been a strange contract stand-off when it comes to Willian.

The Brazilian claims he has not been offered a new contract yet, while Chelsea insist that he has, the Telegraph Sport understands.

Last month, Blues' boss Frank Lampard said he was ready to 'splash the cash' if the ban is lifted, saying: ''At Chelsea we will always look to improve in windows, if we're allowed to, and if the players we might look at are better or we feel are adding to the squad.

''Of course I'm interested because it's obviously going to affect potentially what we can do in January or not''.

Chelsea are currently awaiting the result of their appeal against the transfer ban for the winter window with the hope of doing business.

A result is unlikely to be made until next month, though.

In the meantime, it can be said that Lampard has made good of the only option he has had- the youngsters in his squad.

Mason Mount is one academy player who has made the most of the opportunity given to him, with Lampard putting proven faith in the graduate.

Others who have impressed are the likes of Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
