Philliskirk strike enough for Fylde

Danny Philliskirk netted the only goal as AFC Fylde claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win at Wrexham in the National League.

The former Chelsea trainee fired in from 20 yards after being teed-up by Danny Rowe in the 30th minute.

Fylde had an excellent chance to double their lead in the second half but Ryan Croasdale was denied by Wrexham goalkeeper Rob Lainton on the counter-attack.

Omari Patrick and Ben Tollitt fired late efforts off target with struggling Wrexham now having won just one of their last nine.
