Allan Saint-Maximin Says He 'Doesn't Give A F**k About Scoring' On Live Radio

Newcastle United forward Allan Saint-Maximin caused shock to a BBC Radio DJ after saying he 'doesn't give a f*ck' about scoring goals and would rather the team win, live on air.

Saint-Maximin joined the Magpies in the summer from Nice but is yet to set up or score a goal for his new club, something that might worry most forwards.

The Frenchman is pretty chilled out, as he revealed he's more about the team success than his own, "I don't care. I care if I don't score and we lose. It's different. If the team wins and I don't score, I'm happy because the most important thing is to win," Saint-Maximin told BBC Radio.

"I don't give a f*** after the game if we win and I don't score. I don't play for myself, if I don't score and the team wins I'm happy," with the presenter very taken aback by the swear word.

Imagine the presenter has never heard the phrase 'excuse my French,' it's no wonder the 22-year-old knows how to swear, his nation clearly invented it.

Of the nine games Saint-Maximin has played the team have only lost twice and Steve Bruce's men 13th, seven points clear of the relegation zone, after two wins and a draw in their most recent three games.

Asked about adapting to English football on BBC Newcastle show Total Sport the former Monaco player said, "It's different because in France you don't run like this. You don't run everywhere, when I start to come to the Premier League I get injured I think because of adaptation.

"After that I keep going, I keep walking, I talk to the trainer and said it's really important for me and my body because I run a lot and it's a strong run.

"I'm not a midfield player, I run like a striker. We take our time and now I'm really happy because I feel much better.

"I play one game - better. I play a second game - better. And everything else feels better."

Swearing on radio, being a team player and improving results, Saint-Maximin will be a Newcastle legend soon enough.
