Eriksen adamant contract standoff not cause of Spurs exile

Tottenham star Christian Eriksen believes that his contract saga is not impacting his playing time.
Eriksen has been a peripheral figure for the team this season, as they struggle to get results under Mauricio Pochetttino.
The Danish international is out of contract in the summer and can start talking to clubs outside England in January.
But he believes that his play time is due to merit, not the contract standoff with Spurs.
"I feel 100 per cent that Tottenham has complete confidence in me," he told Danish media outlet BT.
"There is not that big a difference, except that I play a little less this year.
"I don't feel there is a connection between my contract situation and the fact that I haven't played as many matches."
