Arsenal's Matteo Guendouzi replaces Blaise Matuidi in France squad

France's upcoming games

With the final set of domestic games taking place on Sunday, the international break is now getting underway.

France will face two Euro 2020 qualifiers during said break with the first of which taking place on Thursday the 14th of November vs Moldova.

The World Cup holders then end their break by facing off with Albania on Sunday the 17th of November.

Didier Deschamps' side head into their latest set of games sat joint-top of their Euro 2020 qualifying group.

It is Turkey who are currently France's biggest rivals for top spot in Group H.

France did have a chance to put some distance between themselves and Turkey in their last outing but the tie ended 1-1.

As a result, France cannot really afford to drop any points in their next two games.

Guendouzi called up to France squad

France would release their 23-man squad for the games with Moldova and Albania last week.

However, France have now, on Monday the 11th of November, announced a change to the squad.

Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi has dropped out of the squad with a rib injury.

Arsenal standout Matteo Guendouzi has since been called up to replace him.

The Frenchman has been one of the few solid performers for Arsenal in recent weeks.
