Paul Lewis nets lucky late winner for Cambridge

Paul Lewis’ freakish late goal earned Cambridge a 2-1 comeback victory over Crawley.
The game was goalless until the visitors went ahead 11 minutes from time, but Sam Smith and Lewis turned it around.
Crawley looked set to win the match when Bez Lubala lashed home after being played in by Lewis Young.
Their hard work was undone within three minutes when Smith controlled a long ball excellently and drilled into the far corner on his left foot.
Four minutes from the end Lewis and Glenn Morris contested a loose ball on the wide edge of the penalty area, with the goalkeeper’s attempted clearance ricocheting off the midfielder and rolling into the net from the widest of angles.
Crawley had threatened most before the goals went in, with Panutche Camara blazing off target after Ashley Nathaniel-George had rolled the ball to him in the closing stages of the first half.
A deflected Young pass fell to Reece Grego-Cox, who also fired over, ahead of the remarkable late drama.
