Manchester United transfer target Moussa Dembele will be able to leave Lyon in January if a sufficient offer comes in, according to claims from France.
Express Sport understands Dembele has risen up United's list of potential signings after their chances of striking a deal for Juventus' Mario Mandzukic drastically reduced.
The 23-year-old has scored seven goals in 10 Ligue 1 appearances this season and has caught the eye of Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Now French outlet SoccerLink are reporting Lyon will not stand in Dembele's way if a big enough bid is made for him.
Jean-Michel Aulas and co. had previously been reluctant to sell Dembele as they fielded interest from United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
However, their position has changed and they will do business if the money is good enough to bring in a top-level replacement.
It is claimed Lyon have already been in touch with Olivier Giroud's representatives regarding a possible return to France.
And the pieces might just fall into place for United in January, with the 33-year-old Chelsea striker having recently admitted he will assess his options during the winter transfer window.

Solskjaer's side scored more than one goal for the first time since August as they beat Norwich 3-1 on Sunday.
But they will need substantially more firepower as they attempt to stake a claim for a place in the Premier League's top four.
United currently occupy seventh place and are seven points adrift of Frank Lampard's fourth-place Chelsea.

The Red Devils take on the Blues in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night in a fixture Lampard will be desperate to take revenge from.
Chelsea were on the receiving end of a 4-0 battering when they travelled to Old Trafford in the league in August.
And they will be eager to dole out a similar hammering at Stamford Bridge after recording seven wins on the spin.
